Abstract

The accelerated digital transformation of healthcare systems has increased the demand of interoperable, secure and scalable infrastructures that can sustain patient-centric clinical care and real-time flow of medical data. Traditional healthcare information systems often have disorganized electronic health records (EHRs), lack of interoperability, centralized security issues and ineffective coordination of healthcare workflow. The paper outlines a Hybrid Digital Clinical Infrastructure (HDCI) that merges hybrid cloud-edge computing, blockchain-based security tools, interoperable EHR management, and intelligent healthcare service orchestration to provide data exchange techniques that are secure and efficient to patients. The suggested framework enables the authenticated exchanges between hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharmacies, insurance carriers and telemedicine platforms along with maintaining the data confidentiality, integrity and availability. The efficiency of secure transmission and trust-aware healthcare access control and optimization of clinical services are mathematical models used to assess the performance of the system. Through experimental analysis, the proposed HDCI architecture is shown to greatly decrease the latency of data exchange, maximize the efficiency of healthcare services and increase the security reliability than the conventional centralized healthcare infrastructures. The findings suggest that the presented framework can be a scalable and robust solution to the next-generation digital healthcare ecosystems.
